After two weeks of working in and around Hülsen, scupturors Marc Haselbach, Jan Gottschalk and me presented on March 13th, 2020 our work at Rathausgallerie Hülsen in Niedersachsen, Germany. It was a very productive time and resulted in an excellent show. Since this was (due to the corona pandemic) just a presentention, the official opening is now scheduled for May 1st or later.
Eightgrey is a loose new series of Polaroids that will always comprise a complete pack of Polaroids as they pop out of my SX70. Set #1 shows my favorite cameras (I have/had to start somewhere) and the hand that holds them.
That’s what happens if you are sitting in a train and are somehow bored. Happend to me on my way from Cologne to Berlin. So I looked through my videoarchive end experimented. Fun!

Heute wäre Arno Schmidt 100 Jahre alt geworden. Zeit für mich auf ein Projekt zurückzuschauen, dass ich vor 10 Jahre realisiert habe, das aber nie öffentlich gezeigt wurde. Oben abgebildet ist Bild 32 aus einer Serie von 49 Bildern die in Anlehnung an den Roman “Schwarze Spiegel” von Arno Schmidt entstanden sind.
Today, Arno Schmidt would have had his 100th Birthday. Reason enough to look back on a project, which never made into public: Black Mirrors. Inspired by Arno Schmidt’s book by the same titel, I took a series of 49 pictures – 10 years ago.
It’s been 3 years now that this loose Project has been going on.
Time to have a look at some of the boxes.
