FILM 234fas – Premiere

Premiere 18.10.2012 Kino Krokodil Berlin

A day in Bodghaya where Shakyamuni Buddha attained enlightenment 2,600 years ago. The opening of an exhibition in Berlin. – Nothing could be further apart. And yet, next to the stark contrast between interior and exterior there are also overlaps. In FILM 234fas [2012|21min] artists ssmidd and Mirko Tzotschew examine the question: If and how could a film function as a cascade of two experimental films? After the double premiere “Paralleluniverse in b/w” in 2008, this is the first joint film of the two artists.

Westpakete

This International Mail-Art project was initiated by the artist-coop microwesten. The 50th anniversary of the building of the Berlin Wall and of the introduction of the first architectural mainfestation of the Iron Curtain, this project “celebrates” something very special. West Germans would send their poor eastern relatives care-pacages. In East Germany they were quickly named Westpakete (west packages). More than 50 artists from all over the world send in their Westpaket.

WESTpaket

The packages will be shown from July 15th throu July 29th, 2011 at Kunstverein GRAZ e.V., Schäffnerstraße 21, 93047 Regensburg.
From August 3rd till August 13th (50th Anniversary!) they will be shown at Alte Feuerwache, Marchlewskistr. 6, 10243 Berlin-Friedrichshain.
During the opening of the Berlin show on August 3rd, all of the packages will be auctioned!

No.19 – On ART (Installation View) 2010
